About the Role
Our client, a well-established local government organisation based in the Armadale area, is seeking a reliable and motivated Civil Maintenance Worker to join their infrastructure and maintenance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining community assets and ensuring safe and functional public spaces for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repairs to roads, potholes, footpaths, and kerbing
- Assist with traffic control and implement traffic management plans during works
- Operate and maintain civil construction and maintenance equipment
- Install and maintain signage, barriers, and safety controls
- Perform general labouring duties associated with civil maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of council infrastructure
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and council standards
About You
- Previous experience in civil maintenance, roadworks, or construction
- Traffic Management / Traffic Controller accreditation (desirable or willingness to obtain)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Valid driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
